  Tri update news - Unfortunately the VTA has to advise that the previous organisers of VTA events are no longer available for 2008 events. As a result no monthly club events are planned this year with the exception of the annual AFA Insurance Fun Run and the Kids' Triathlon Series (see 'Latest' for details). However the annual international Triathlon du Paradis is expected to continue again, but under the professional organisation of Paul McCoy, who is the organiser of the Vanuatu Ocean Swims series. The VTA webmaster is waiting for information about this year's event and this will be published as soon as advised. In the meantime if you wish to find initial details of this year's event, Paul can be contacted by email at mccoy@vanuatu.com.vu

 The 2008 AFA Insurance 10km Fun Run will be held
Sat 19 July. Entry forms are available from AFA at BDO House on the main street in the CBD. Buses will take competitors to the start at Melemaat for the traditional run into town. The entrance fee is only 200vt ($2.40) and a free AFA running shirt will be given to all runners.

The VTA are pleased to assist in the running of this very successful annual event which also serves as a useful build up for the annual Round Island Relay which takes place the following Saturday 26 July.

Tusker Beer very kindly  sponsored a "Duathlon du Paradis" held Sunday 16 September 2007 in lieu of our normal Tri du Paradis.

Our premier annual event is the TUSKER Triathlon du Paradis. As advised above details of this year's event have not been advised as yet to the webmaster. Please email Paul McCoy at mccoy@vanuatu.com.vu for progress.

The Kids' Triathlon Series starts again Sunday 20th July. Many thanks to this year's sponsors of the series, Bred Bank and Le Meridien Resort.

There will be four events in the series 20 Jul, 16 Aug, 14 Sep, and 12 Oct all at Le Meridien starting at 8:00am. Ages from four years and up. Prizes and give aways for all. Only 1000vt ($12) entry for all four events. Please contact Rod at oconnor@vanuatu.com.vu if have any queries.
